Ingredients:
• Apples (any variety you like)
• Ripe bananas
• Pears
Optional:
• Lemon juice (to prevent browning)
• Cinnamon or mixed spice for dusting
Method:
1. Prep the fruit:
◦ Apples & Pears: Core (if desired) and slice into 5mm rings.
◦ Bananas: Peel and slice into coins around 5mm thick.
◦ For extra colour protection, dip apple and pear slices in a mixture of water and lemon juice (1 tbsp lemon juice to 1 cup water) for 1-2 minutes, then pat dry.
2. Add flavour (optional):
Sprinkle with a little cinnamon or mixed spice for a warm, comforting twist.
3. Dehydrate:
Place the fruit slices in a single layer on your Ezidri Dehydrator trays, making sure they don’t overlap.
Dry at 60–65ºC for approximately:
◦ Bananas: 8–10 hours (for chewy), up to 12 hours (for crisp)
◦ Apples & Pears: 10–12 hours or until desired texture is reached.
4. Cool & Store:
Let fruit snacks cool completely before transferring to an airtight container or glass jar. Store in a cool, dry place for up to 3 months (if they last that long!).
Snack Tips:
• Perfect for school lunchboxes, hiking snacks or DIY snack platters.
• Blend leftovers into trail mix or chop and add to muesli.
