They’re free from added sugar and preservatives. With the help of the Ezidri Dehydrator, it’s easy to create these nutritious snacks at home with minimal effort.
Ingredients:
• 2 cups apple puree
• 1 cup blueberries (defrosted if using frozen)
Method:
1. Add the apple puree and blueberries to a blender or food processor. Blend until completely smooth.
2. Pour the mixture onto a lightly oiled Ezidri dehydrator solid insert and spread evenly to about 5mm thick.
3. Dehydrate at 65ºC for 8 hours, or until the mixture is fully set and has a leathery, flexible texture.
4. Once cooled, peel off the sheet and cut into strips. Roll them up and secure with baking paper or string if desired.
5. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
Tips:
• Make sure the roll-ups are completely dry before storing to avoid any mould.
• You can double or triple the batch and mix in other berries or a dash of cinnamon for variety.
• Perfect for lunchboxes, hiking snacks or a naturally sweet afternoon bite.
