Homemade Pumpkin & Peanut Butter Dog Treats

Made with love and your Ezidri Dehydrator

Theres something so satisfying about making your own dog treats, especially when you know exactly whats going into them. These wholesome Pumpkin & Peanut Butter Dog Treats are made with just five pantry-friendly ingredients and finished in the Ezidri Dehydrator to get that perfect crunchy texture dogs love. Theyre free from additives, full of flavour, and a fun way to spoil your pup naturally.

Youll need:

            3 cups rolled oats

            1 cup pumpkin purée

            ½ cup natural peanut butter (no xylitol)

            2 eggs

Method:

1.          Place the oats in a food processor or blender and blitz until they resemble a fine flour.

2.          In a large bowl, mix together the oat flour, pumpkin purée, peanut butter, and eggs until a thick dough forms.

3.          Roll the dough out on a floured surface to around 1cm thick.

4.          Use cookie cutters to cut into shapes (bone or dog shapes are always a hit!).

5.          Arrange treats on dehydrator trays in a single layer.

6.          Dehydrate at 75ºC for around 12 hours, or until the treats are completely dry and crisp all the way through.

7.          Let cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

Storage Tip:
Once fully dehydrated, these treats can be stored in a cool, dry place for several weeks. For longer shelf life, pop them in the freezer.
